Marian booters end Concordia season 2-1

Late goal advances Sabres

As so often happens in soccer, one team can control possession and have the better of opportunities without coming out on the winning end of the score.  Saturday afternoon Marian had three legitimate scoring opportunities and took advantage of two of them to end the Falcon season in the first round of the NAC playoffs.

A perfectly placed direct kick providied the game winner for the Sabres but CUW had two more chances in the game's final ten minutes, missing an open net on one of those opportunities.

Although outshooting the visitors 14-3, CUW ended their season with a 12-6-2 record while Marian moves on to play Aurora in the NAC tourney semi-finals.
