Concordia opened the non-conference portion of their season with a 4-1 road win over Buffalo State Saturday morning.
CUW led 2-0 after the first period and that was actually enough as Falcon goalie Lea Jondal held off the hosts.
"Sarah Luberda and Jaime Athens played excellent hockey and our team got better each period as the game went on.
We have a young defense and they were litearlly learning on the fly," explained Coach Jim Ingman.
