CUW gears up for Dominican
Mendoza scores lone Falcon goal |
Fond du Lac, WI -
Tom Saleska’s high-flying Falcons got a goal from Victor Mendoza just prior to halftime and parlayed that score into a 1-0 win over host Marian Wednesday evening in Fond du lac.
Goalie Tom Anderson had four saves for CUW while Nick Henkemeyer recorded nine stops (some of those “spectacular”) for Marian as Concordia kept the pressure on throughout the second half.
The win catapulted CUW to 5-0-0 in the NAC with a huge match coming up Saturday at Dominican against the Nationally-ranked Stars who are also 5-0-0 in conference action. Concordia, 9-2-2 overall, is ranked 7th in the US Central Region.
