The 59th annual CIT will be held on this campus in late January of 2010. Men's and women's basketball teams from Concordia- Chicago, Concordia-Seward, and Concordia Ann Arbor will compete with game action beginning Friday afternoon. The CIT is the second oldest and longest running basketball tournament in the nation behind the NIT. "Committees are already being formed to make this the BEST Concordia Invitational to date," said CUW Athletic Director Rob Barnhill. "We waited five years to have another turn at producing the event and are anxious to make the most of it."

The Falcon men's team dropped a thrilling 61-59 decision to the hosts in last year's title match at Seward after winning the title in 2008. The CUW women split their 2008 contests and look to recapture the CIT crown that they last won in 2007. Both Falcon squads open CIT play with Friday matchups against Concordia- Chicago.
